Nineveh Academic Chair Advances International Partnership for Modern Assyrian Studies

The Nineveh Academic Chair continues to work actively to foster academic partnerships that will contribute to the training of future teachers of the Assyrian language in the United States.

This mission is already being pursued in Assyria through the Chair’s collaboration with the University of Duhok. In parallel, work will soon begin on the development of a curriculum at Stanislaus University aimed at creating a degree programme in Modern Assyrian Language and History.

As an initial step, the agreement to be signed on 23 June between the University of Salamanca and Stanislaus University will establish a framework for future academic cooperation and curriculum development.

This partnership is expected to pave the way toward the creation of a long-awaited degree programme in Modern Assyrian Studies, designed to prepare future educators and strengthen the teaching of the Assyrian language in the United States.

The Nineveh Academic Chair welcomes the support of the wider Assyrian community as it continues to promote educational initiatives that contribute to the preservation, revitalisation, and international development of Assyrian language, history, and culture.
