Niniveh Chair Delivers Lectures on the Assyrian Language Project in Los Angeles and San Diego
The Niniveh Chair at the University of Salamanca is delighted to share the successful delivery of lectures on the Assyrian Language Project in Los Angeles and San Diego.
These events brought together members of the Assyrian community, scholars, and cultural advocates, highlighting the importance of safeguarding and promoting the Sureth (Assyrian/Neo-Aramaic) language for future generations.
Professor Dr. Ephrem Yildiz, Head of the Niniveh Chair, expressed his appreciation to the Assyrian American Association of Southern California for their invitation and warm hospitality. The gatherings not only underscored the deep cultural and historical ties of the Assyrian language but also fostered renewed dialogue between academic institutions and diaspora communities in the United States.
Special thanks are extended to the key organizers, Sargon and Victor, for their heartfelt welcome and unwavering commitment to making these events possible. Their dedication reflects the strong sense of identity and responsibility that continues to unite Assyrians worldwide around the cause of language preservation.
These lectures form part of the broader mission of the Niniveh Chair to build bridges between academia and community, ensuring that the Assyrian language and heritage remain a living and dynamic force across continents.
